Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Eye, Suffolk
Hours: 06:00-18:00 (working 7 out of 14 days)
Pay: 40,000per annum

We are looking for a mechanically biased engineer who is used to working in a manufacturing plant & covering both reactive & preventive maintenance.

We are offering a salary up from 40,000+. 12-hour shifts, 7 days over a 2-week period. The hours when you're on shift are 06:00-18:00.

Maintenance Engineer duties include: -

  • Understand and be able to carry out the startup and shutdown procedure
  • Carry out checks and tests on plant and equipment as required by the PPM Schedule or other sources
  • Carrying out reactive electrical & mechanical repairs and servicing across the whole site
  • Support all aspects of continuous improvement
  • Ensure that all work is recorded on the Planned Maintenance System
  • To read, understand and follow the machine manufacturer's handbook instructions and drawings
  • Undertake any training that is required to enhance or to keep your skills up to date
  • Assist in the training of colleagues from other departments as required
  • To be flexible and, when needed, available for call out on emergency plant breakdown and absence cover. This may also mean overtime to provide the necessary cover to meet production requirements
  • To be available through any plant shutdown on maintenance tasks or continuous improvement projects
  • Adhere to the Company's ISO 9001 Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Able to work under your own initiative with minimum supervision on occasion
  • Ensure good communication with all colleagues and supervision
