A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Technician to join our client on the outskirts of Diss, Norfolk. You will be working within the Engineering Team making sure that all duties are carried out to keep the plant running smoothly. Hours: 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00Monday - Friday (2 week rotating shift) Duties Include: 
  • Working on both Hydraulic and Pneumatic Machines, ensuring preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance, to keep smooth running of machinery.
  • Able to prevent breakdowns of Mechanical Belts, PLC’s, AC and DC Motors and Drives.
  • Identifying potential failures and plan to solve these accordingly with corrective maintenance.
  • Following technical direction, interpreting and amending mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Identify reoccurring issues with operational solutions to fix the ongoing issues.
  • Following Health and Safety rules of the site, both for yourself and for others.
Candidate Attributes: 
  • Proven ability of fault finding experience in a busy manufacturing site.
  • Experience of working with Hydraulic, Pneumatic, PLC’s, AC and DC Motors and drives.
  • Have experience of working with mechanical power transfer systems e.g. drive belts, transfer chains and bearing systems.
  • The ability to interpret and amend technical mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Engineering Related subject.
