Project Manager/Trainee Project Manager

Our clientare technical experts in the design and manufacture of architectural glass rooflights, they are on the cutting edge of glass rooflight design and their products can be found on rooftops across Europe, Australia and the United States. Due to continued expansion they have 2 new opportunities for Project Managers to join their team in Diss.

You will be working for the Operations Manager as part of a busy projects team, showing excellent interpersonal and skills.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for building strong relationships with both external and internal customers.

You should be a proactive, professional, and self-motivated individual.


The role:

Full ownership of projects allocated from handover to install, ensuring the customer experience is paramount.

Meetings with sales on complex bespoke before contract agreement to assist right first time.

Lead meetings with internal department weekly to update clients on progress.

Keep in house system updated with the progress of projects from point of sales release through to dispatch / installation.

Liaise with the client in person and via the telephone and written communication, ensure they are always up to date on project progress always ensuring to keep customer service in mind.

Liaise with other departments and suppliers.

Coordinate transport / dispatch requests.

Ensure payment terms are adhered to by the client.

Highlight shortfalls of deliverables.

Ensure variations to projects are correctly instructed, costed and actioned.

Work to high standards at all times, ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met.

Assist in the development of new processes to improve departmental and company output.

Travel to site as and when required to conduct surveys or attend site meetings.

Attend the Group Sales Teams pre-contract/pre-start meetings as required.

Compile and issue clear instructions to internal departments to allow them to complete their stage of the project as efficiently as possible.

Assist in compilation of the reports for the Senior Management Team/Board of Directors.
