Community Care Worker| Suffolk | Full Time | £13.50 - £30 per hour

Our client provides carers from a small friendly & experienced team to assist with day to day living tasks, companionship and support to access the local community.

They are looking for a compassionate, reliable individual with at least one year of care experience. If you're passionate about supporting elderly clients to live independently, enjoy socialising, and have excellent communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you!

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Must live within a commutable distance of IP21 5EH
  • Clean driving license
  • Own transport is required
  • A minimum of 1 years' experience in care
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to socialise with people at all levels without prejudice or discrimination
  • Able to work flexibly as a team or individually
  • Confident in liaising with families, clients and management
  • Good time management is essential
  • Can record information accurately and concisely using a digital care planning app

What will your role look like?

  • Promoting independent living with respect, dignity, and safety
  • Providing personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.)
  • Assisting with mobility and the use of mobility aids
  • Preparing meals and encouraging healthy eating
  • Ensuring regular fluid intake and supporting medication needs
  • Collecting shopping and prescriptions
  • Maintaining cleanliness within clients' homes
  • Accompanying clients to appointments
  • Keeping accurate records in electronic and paper formats
  • Participating in ongoing training, staff meetings, and performance appraisals

Salary breakdown per hour:

  • Day Basic – £13.50 per hour
  • Evening – £15.00 per hour
  • Bank Holidays – £18.00 per hour
  • Christmas (Christmas and Boxing Day) – £30.00 per hour
