Community Care Worker | Suffolk | Full-Time | £13.50 - £30 per hour

Our client is a well-established, friendly, and experienced care provider, offering personalised support to individuals in their daily lives. They specialise in assisting with everyday tasks, companionship, and helping clients access their local community, ensuring they maintain independence and a high quality of life.

They are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual with at least one year of care experience. If you are passionate about supporting elderly clients, enjoy social interaction, and have excellent communication skills, this could be the perfect role for you!

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Must live within a commutable distance of IP21 5EH
  • A clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • A minimum of one year's experience in a care role
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with people from all backgrounds
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Confidence in liaising with clients, families, and management
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to accurately record and maintain digital care plans

What will your role look like?

  • Promoting independent living while maintaining dignity and respect
  • Providing personal care (e.g., bathing, dressing, toileting)
  • Supporting mobility and assisting with mobility aids
  • Preparing meals and encouraging healthy eating
  • Ensuring clients stay hydrated and supporting medication needs
  • Collecting shopping and prescriptions
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness in clients' homes
  • Accompanying clients to appointments and social activities
  • Keeping detailed, accurate records in both digital and paper formats
  • Participating in ongoing training, staff meetings, and performance appraisals

Salary Breakdown (per hour):

  • Daytime Rate – £13.50
  • Evening Rate – £15.00
  • Bank Holidays – £18.00
  • Christmas & Boxing Day – £30.00
