We are currently working with an education provider in the beautiful Lake District area who are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Trainer/Lecturer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The position would consist of 37 hours of work per week, and would involve delivering workshop based training on milling and turning, and also some basic Mechanical Engineering theory and health & safety delivery in the classroom. Delivery would be on the City & Guilds Engineering Technician qualification at level 2/3.

The starting salary would be up to a maximum of 39,477 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), and you would also get a teacher's pension (with employer contributions of 28.68%) in addition to a generous holiday allocation of 47 days (plus 8 days for Bank Holidays). Relocators would be considered, and there would also be a discretionary relocation package of up to 2,500 to cover property deposit, moving costs, etc.

-good hands-on machining knowledge/experience
-a passion for passing on your knowledge

While the education provider are ideally looking for someone who has a teaching qualification, they would be more than happy to fully fund the right candidate through a teaching qualification on the job if they don't already have one.
