About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join our dynamic accountancy practice in Barnsley. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a flexible and supportive environment with the option of hybrid working and a 4-day work week. The role will primarily focus on Accounts Production (80%) with a smaller portion dedicated to Audit work (20%).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading accounts production assignments, preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Conducting audit assignments, ensuring they are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure their needs are met and offering expert advice.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
