We are partnering with a well-established Doncaster-based business to recruit an Interim Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

As the Interim Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and ensuring accurate reporting during a period of transition. Reporting to the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accurate and timely financial statements and reports in line with accounting standards.
  • Managing month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Conducting inter-company and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with external auditors.
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial governance requirements and company policies.
  • Working closely with internal teams to drive process improvements and efficiencies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong technical accounting background.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Available at short notice
