Role:: Group Financial AccountantLocation: Doncaster Salary: £60,000 per annum Type: Temporary on-goingElevation Recruitment Group are currently working exclusively with a market leading Manufacturing business based in Doncaster, who're looking to recruit a Group Financial Accountant to join their team.  This is a short-term rolling contract, and our client is seeking someone who can quickly step into the role and make an immediate impact with minimal handover or onboarding. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and seamlessly take on key responsibilities from day one.Key Responsibilities of a Group Financial Accountant: 

  • Preparing statutory accounts for the group and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Managing the consolidation of group financial statements, including multi-entity consolidations and complex intercompany transactions.
  • Leading month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting at both entity and group levels.
  • Acting as the primary contact for external auditors, managing the annual audit process, and resolving technical accounting issues.
  • Continuously identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes and controls, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of reporting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant, ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA 
  • Experience in a group environment, preferably with multi-site operations
  • Strong organisational and management skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Detail-oriented and inquisitive
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • People management experience to reach deadlines and improve efficiencies across the team
