- Provide strong analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Stay updated with changes in accountancy legislation.
- Prepare accurate weekly P&L reports using Excel and Sage; participate in P&L meetings.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Manage and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
- Reconcile control accounts and report any anomalies.
- Execute month-end procedures within set deadlines.
- Support and oversee the work of the Finance Administrator and apprentice, including training and checklist management.
- Take ownership of financial deadlines and targets.
- Manage cash flow and provide daily reports.
- Reconcile balance sheets monthly, including VAT and PAYE.
- Oversee quarterly forecasts and annual budget processes.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure statutory reporting compliance.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and assist with annual accounts preparation.
- Support the annual audit process and overall finance function goals.
- Act as System Administrator for various financial platforms (e.g., Sage200, HSBCNet).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in management accounts and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
