About the RoleA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a dynamic and growing company at their Doncaster site. This position will pay up to £40,000 salary + benefits package.  This is a fully on-site position that offers the chance to support business performance and provide insightful financial analysis to aid decision-making. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key role in preparing and delivering accurate and timely financial reports.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strong analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated with changes in accountancy legislation.
  • Prepare accurate weekly P&L reports using Excel and Sage; participate in P&L meetings.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
  • Manage and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Reconcile control accounts and report any anomalies.
  • Execute month-end procedures within set deadlines.
  • Support and oversee the work of the Finance Administrator and apprentice, including training and checklist management.
  • Take ownership of financial deadlines and targets.
  • Manage cash flow and provide daily reports.
  • Reconcile balance sheets monthly, including VAT and PAYE.
  • Oversee quarterly forecasts and annual budget processes.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure statutory reporting compliance.
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and assist with annual accounts preparation.
  • Support the annual audit process and overall finance function goals.
  • Act as System Administrator for various financial platforms (e.g., Sage200, HSBCNet).
