My client, a Cyber Security consultancy organisation are looking for a dynamic and experienced Bid Manager.

The Bid Manager will take full ownership of the end-to-end bid process, ensuring the timely submission of winning bids for public and private sector tenders. In addition to bid management, you will be responsible for proactively seeking out new tender opportunities that align with their business goals, expanding their presence in the market.

You will collaborate with multiple teams across the business to ensure the accuracy of proposals are technical and articulate of their value proposition.

You will be someone who has experience in bid management within IT services, but Cyber Security services would be advantageous.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification, bid preparation, and submission through to post-bid negotiation and contract finalisation.
  • Proactively seek & identify potential tender opportunities that align with organisations services and growth objectives.
  • Manage and expand relationships with procurement portals and frameworks, including G-Cloud and CCS.
  • Collaborate with the teams to ensure bids are accurate, competitive, and aligned with customer requirements.
  • Write high-quality, compelling proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition.
  • Maintain and update procurement portals and frameworks to ensure compliance and maximise bid opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to internal bid processes and governance.
  • Track and report on bid performance, contributing to continuous improvement.

Skills Required:

  • APMP Practitioner Certification or above.
  • Proven experience in a senior bid management or sales leadership role, with a strong track record in IT services, ideally with exposure to cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience of developing and executing effective bids that support rapid growth strategies and successful tender wins.
  • Experience of managing bid pipelines and providing reports to the senior leadership team.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security Services (Desirable but advantageous)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple bids
  • Proficiency in CRM and bid management tools.
  • A strong network within the cybersecurity or IT services industry is a plus.
