Production Operative – Wiring and Piping Department - Doncaster

Montracon is one of the leading trailer manufacturers serving the UK, Ireland and export markets and offers high quality, diverse product portfolio.

We are now looking for a Production Operative on a permanent basis to work in wiring and piping in our Factory in Doncaster.

Key Responsibilities:

· Use a variety of handheld tools and crane operation to build trailers in accordance with SOPs

· Personally make health and safety a priority ensuring you comply with all health and safety instructions.

· Plan work to minimise waste of raw materials as well as work in a clean and tidy manner.

· Work in accordance with Company operating procedures and guidelines.

· Wear and always maintain personal protective equipment.

· Read and assess production information for required specification details, working in an organised manner to ensure the task is completed efficiently, to the correct standard and within the necessary time frame.

· Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form

· Conduct basic quality control checks.

· Ensure the safe operation of machinery within the area of responsibility.

Our Ideal Candidate:

· Use tools and equipment used in trailer bodybuilding.

· General knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions.

· Skill in the use and care of hand and power tools and equipment necessary to prepare, fit and fasten body components.

· Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time as required by work assignments.

· Good interpersonal skills

· Good manual dexterity requires the ability to handle a variety of items such as hand tools.

· Experience in the manufacture of trailers is desirable but not essential
