We are seeking an experienced Interim Caretaker to join our team on a flexible basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our school environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caretaking, with specific skills in key handling, basic maintenance, and safety checks.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct daily maintenance checks and address any issues promptly.
- Perform routine boiler and water safety checks to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
- Manage key holding responsibilities, ensuring the security and accessibility of the school premises at all times.
- Adhere to strict safeguarding protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
- Respond to ad-hoc maintenance requests and coordinate with external contractors when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all school users.
- Proven experience as a caretaker or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and basic repair skills.
- Knowledgeable in safety and safeguarding practices within a school environment.
- Must possess a current DBS certificate on the update service.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
