School Caretaker role in Doncaster - mornings only!
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a school in Doncaster that is seeking a School Caretaker to join them ASAP on a part-time basis.
Position: School Caretaker
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Hours: 15 hours a week, 3 hours a day 7am-10am
Role Overview: As a School Caretaker you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the school premises. You will be responsible for unlocking the school each day, conducting health and safety checks, and basic maintenance support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the cleaning and upkeep of the school buildings.
- Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks or coordinating with external contractors as needed.
- Managing security procedures, including locking and unlocking buildings, monitoring CCTV systems, and responding to alarms or security concerns.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and health and safety inspections.
- Assisting with facilities-related projects and renovations as directed by school leadership.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong practical skills in maintenance, repairs, and facilities management.
- Excellent organisational abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of others.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to school environments.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for contributing to the success of our school community.
