We are currently seeking a skilled Joiner for a temporary position based in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be involved in various joinery tasks, focusing on the renewal and repair of wooden structures and fittings. This role is ideal for individuals who are proficient in handling different types of woodwork and can deliver high-quality craftsmanship.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Renew and repair internal and external doors, frames, and fittings.
  • Handle the renewal and repair of gates, posts, wooden windows, and associated work.
  • Work on timber flooring, including floor tiles, skirting boards, and associated tasks.
  • Manage the renewal and repair of stairs, kitchen units including worktops, external canopies, wood fencing, and fuel bunkers.
  • Carry out repairs and renewal of garage doors and general internal joinery duties such as bath panels, pipe boxing, skirting boards, curtain rails, ceiling tiles, wall boarding, studded walls, grab rails, and mouldings.
  • Perform general external joinery duties including the renewal and repair of timber mouldings, barge boards, claddings, fascia boards, gutters, soffit boards, and glazing.
  • Adapt to the needs of the service, potentially involving multi-skilling in other trades.
  • May require driving a council vehicle to carry out duties.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Joiner.
  • Must have a driving licence 
  • Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times.
  • Good understanding of basic math.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
