International Sales Manager
Branded consumer goods
Location: Yorkshire (2/3 days p/w in office)
We are handling an exceptional opportunity for an International Sales Manager with consumer goods / FMCG experience. Our client is a highly respected producer and exporter of branded consumer goods sold into retail channels throughout the UK and Europe. If you are based in the Yorkshire area, have a background in consumer goods, and you are passionate about developing international sales into retail channels, we would love to hear from you.
Our client is recruiting an enthusiastic and driven international sales professional to manage their sales in international markets, especially in Western Europe.
Products are sold to retailers in export markets both directly and via distributors and the International Sales Manager / Export Sales Manager will be capable of maintaining relationships with both retailers and distributors.
The Role
The company enjoys notable distribution already and the International Sales Manager will drive further expansion by identifying new business partners in both new and established markets.
The International Sales Manager will manage a number of existing distributors while also focusing on the management of key international retail accounts directly.
This is a hybrid role. Occasional international will be undertaken of course and during non-travel weeks you will work 2/3 days per week in the office with the remainder at home.
The Company
Our market-leading client has already achieved notable success in multiple export markets. The business will continue to grow internationally and the future growth of the company will come disproportionately from its international sales.
A growing, internationally focused business with a reputable name in premium branded consumer goods.
The Package
The business offers a basic salary of £45,000-55,000 depending on experience. A car allowance is also provided along with a 20% bonus.
The Person
Previous experience in an international sales role is essential here, as is a background in consumer goods. Suitable candidates will likely have a background in managing distributors and will ideally be familiar with retail account management either within UK accounts or European/international retailers.
Fluency in a 2nd European language, particularly German, would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite.
Suitable candidates will live in the north of England.
