About the Opportunity:

Are you a driven and experienced automotive sales professional with a passion for used cars? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at leading a team to success? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our reputable main dealership in South Yorkshire as a Used Car Sales Manager.

This is a key role where you will be responsible for managing and maximizing the performance of our used car sales department. You'll have the opportunity to shape the team, drive profitability, and contribute to the overall success of our dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and Procurement: Proactively identify and source high-quality used vehicles through various methods, including auctions, part-exchanges, and trade contacts.
  • Inventory Management: Effectively manage used car stock levels, ensuring optimal turnover and profitability.
  • Sales Performance: Drive sales volume and profitability through effective sales techniques and deal structuring.
  • Deal Stacking: Expertly stack deals to maximize profit margins, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to increase used car sales.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyse trends, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all industry regulations and company policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Proven experience as a Used Car Sales Manager, or a high-performing Sales Executive ready to step up, within the automotive industry.
  • A strong understanding of the used car market, including valuation and sourcing strategies.
  • Exceptional sales skills, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent deal closing and "deal stacking" abilities.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a successful sales team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • A passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to customer service excellence.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
