Overview

Compass Associates are proud to be working in partnership with an established children’s provider within Residential care, who offer support to children aged 7 - 17 with complex learning disabilities and autism, to recruit for a Registered Manager to oversee their brand-new children’s Residential service opening in Doncaster. The service will support children with autism, learning disabilities and associated complex needs.

The Candidate

As the Registered Manager, you will be working alongside the Operations Manager, and you will have overall responsibility for managing the brand-new service including recruiting a full staff team, setting up systems across the service and ensuring a comfortable transition for children when the service opens. As the Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility of the day-to-day operations of the service, help to develop and establish the service and push it towards a 'Good’ Ofsted rating.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience of managing an Ofsted home that carries a rating of good or above.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma for the Children's and Young People's Workforce or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification in Children and Young People's Services.
  • Experience working with children with learning disabilities (preferable)
  • Attention to detail and never compromising on quality
  • Passionate that children and young people should have equal opportunities, a voice that should be heard and they should be enabled to create their own bright futures.
  • Someone with an appetite for growth and to succeed in their role and help to develop their services to be Outstanding
  • Clear DBS / CRB

Location

This position is based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire and is commutable from Mexborough, Rotherham, Conisbrough, Gainsborough, or Scunthorpe.

Interview Process

The interview process involves an initial informal conversation with the Director/Founder, then a second formal interview with the Director and another member of Senior Management.
