Doncaster Council is seeking a qualified Housing Enforcement Officer for a temporary full-time role over the next 5 months. This position offers a mix of hybrid, office work, and onsite visits, ideal for someone ready to hit the ground running. The role includes conducting inspections, issuing licences, and interacting with the public and tenants.
Day-to-day of the role:- Conduct onsite visits to meet with members of the public and tenants.
- Perform inspections and issue licences related to housing and housing standards.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with a supportive team, with flexibility in office attendance (minimum of 1 day per week).
- Utilise an in-house system for which training will be provided.
- Start the role paired with an experienced officer until fully settled.
- HHSRS Certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
- Proven experience as a Housing Enforcement Officer.
- Working knowledge of licensing, housing, and housing standards.
- Ability to manage workload effectively, both in the office and remotely.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with the public and tenants.
- Supportive, welcoming, and experienced team.
- Flexitime working arrangement based on a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid working model, allowing for a balance of remote work and office presence for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
