Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineering Senior SiteManager / Senior Site Agent on behalf of an establishedregional civil engineeringcontractor to oversee delivery of projects across South Yorkshire.
This role is ideally aimed at a Site Agent / Site Manager looking to take steps towards a Project Manager role & develop in their career over the near future. Someone ideally who has a grasp on contractual & commercial involvement as well as being confident at managing projects at all stages on site.
The company specialises in heavy civil engineering solutions to a variety of sectors including: Water &Environment Agency. A forward thinking regional team - many of which have come from Tier 1 & large contractorbackgrounds in the Civil Engineering space. This new Senior Agent / Project Manager will be responsible for working with the Contracts Manager & to developthe output & capabilities in the Yorkshire region.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Management of projects at all stages - values up to 8m
- Site management if needed
- Working with Contracts Managerto ensure site targets are hit
- Attend meetings on sites
- Temporary Works management & involvementwith lift plans
- Assist Contracts Manager with allocationof staff and sub-contractors
- Involvementwith issuing early warnings & compensation events
- Short term planning for projects
- Project reports for costs &progress
- Site setup& early site works
- Writing site specific RAMS
- Checking of Site Manager's documentation & sites
Experience required:
- Candidates musthave proven experience at Site Manager / Site Agent level with a principal contractor on heavy civil engineering / infrastructure projects (values 5m+)
- Experience managing deep drainage/pipework, heavy civils or Water Treatmentcivils packages is essential
- Experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts is preferred
- Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree).
- Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS and Full Driver's License.
Remuneration:
A salary of up to 60,000 (dependent upon experience) plus:
Company car or allowance, fuel card, annual leave, annual discretionary bonus, pension scheme & more.
