Are you an experienced Site Engineer looking for a freelance opportunity? We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join a reputable groundworks firm on a high-profile steel frame commercial project in Doncaster. This role involves overseeing key aspects of the build, including concrete works, groundwork, bolts, and drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting Out: Accurately set out for groundworks, steel frame structures, concrete pours, and bolt installations to ensure the project is built to specification.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work, including drainage and groundworks, is carried out to the highest quality standards, adhering to the project’s requirements.
- Liaising with Project Teams: Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and the wider site team to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any on-site issues.
- Material Management: Coordinate and manage materials relevant to groundworks, drainage, and steel frame components.
- Surveying & Reports: Conduct surveys, monitor site progress, and prepare reports on work completed and outstanding tasks.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all activities on site comply with current health and safety regulations.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in groundworks, particularly on commercial or industrial steel frame projects
- Skilled in setting out for concrete, groundwork, drainage, and bolt installations
- Proficient in using total stations and other relevant equipment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with project teams and subcontractors
- Have kit or be able to hire kitÂ
- Understanding of health and safety protocols on construction sites
- Relevant qualifications, including CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS (desirable)
