Project Manager (Fixed Term Contract)
- Duration: 4-month fixed term (room for extension)
- Start Date: Immediate availability required.
We are seeking an experienced and immediately available Project Manager to oversee a range of key installations across a specialist manufacturing site. Whilst not linked to production, these installations fall under Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and this role will help ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with. The successful candidate will manage a team of engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Oversee all aspects of installation projects, ensuring adherence to the project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate and manage a team of engineers, subcontractors, and site staff to achieve project goals.
- Implement and monitor progress reporting, risk management, and mitigation strategies.
- Compliance and CDM Regulations:
- Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, including documentation, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
- Maintain up-to-date health and safety paperwork and oversee site audits.
- Manage compliance with working-at-height regulations, lifting operations, and other safety-critical activities.
- Technical Oversight:
- Develop, review, and approve installation procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client specifications.
- Liaise with engineering teams to address technical challenges, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams (key report, head of projects).
- Conduct regular site meetings, progress reviews, and stakeholder updates.
- Manage communication flow between all parties to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Resource Management:
- Plan and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.
- Monitor costs and implement cost-control measures.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Address on-site challenges and unforeseen issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical and logistical issues.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer on challenging manufacturing sites or CDM/Construction based challenges
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience working under CDM regulations.
- Experience with managing projects involving working at height, lifting operations, and safety-critical procedures.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification is highly advantageous.
- Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification is a plus.
