Engineering Buyer / Expeditor

£38K-£40K + Pension + 33 days holiday + Flexibly Working

Based in Doncaster

The Company:

A market leading business that design and manufacture high value capital equipment for customers in many different industries are looking for an experienced engineering buyer to join their commercial team.  

This company manages bespoke projects from concept right through to completion and have an excellent reputation in the industry.

The Role:

The engineering buyer / expeditor will be responsible for the purchase and delivery of raw materials, engineered or fabricated components, and mechanical systems.

The key part of this role is reading and interpreting engineering drawings (either from in house design engineers or direct from the customer), and sourcing the materials required to manufacture the equipment.

  • Evaluate and verify quotes
  • Raise PO’s
  • Preparing BOM’s
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time deliveries

Required Experience:

  • The Engineering Buyer / Expeditor must have a mechanical engineering / fabrications background
  • You will be able to read and interpret fabrication and mechanical engineering drawings
  • Experience of purchasing fabrications
