Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher

We are seeking an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher for a rewarding role in a lovely primary school within a multi-academy trust. This position involves teaching Nursery in the mornings and Reception in the afternoons, providing both teaching cover and support. This role is ideal for someone who values consistency and is capable of ensuring a stimulating learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach Nursery classes each morning, setting up and ensuring the provision is ready for young learners.
  • In the afternoons, switch to teaching Reception, providing both direct teaching and support.
  • Engage children in activities that encourage learning and development.
  • Perform a small amount of planning alongside more senior staff, focusing mainly on setting up learning environments.
  • Maintain a consistent presence to ensure continuity for the children.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, adapting to their educational needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in an EYFS setting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
  • Ability to engage young children in a learning through play.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organisational skills to manage a classroom and prepare materials.
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
