Early Career Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £140 - £190 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to take your first steps in secondary education? GSL Education are looking for dedicated ECTs to join schools in Doncaster, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship, and develop your teaching skills in a supportive setting.

As an ECT, you will have the chance to put your training into practice, inspiring and educating students in your specialist subject. You will receive guidance from experienced teachers and gain valuable classroom experience to build your confidence and expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain high expectations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and mentorship programs.

Requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• PGCE with a subject specialism in secondary education.
• Experience from at least two training placements (mandatory references required).
• Strong classroom management and adaptability.
• Passion for education and inspiring young learners.
• Commitment to professional growth and development.
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
