We are urgently seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is crucial for both experienced Teaching Assistants and individuals with exceptional vocational skills who are driven to make a significant impact in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN). Our school is part of a well-respected multi-academy trust, committed to providing excellent educational experiences, particularly for children with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Support the delivery of high-quality learning and care for children and young people with SEN both in and out of the classroom.
  • Support whole class lessons, group work, and one-to-one pupil interactions.
  • Respond to the individual needs of children, including personal care and hygiene, to facilitate their access to learning.
  • Utilise excellent interpersonal skills to assess student attainment and progress, helping them celebrate their successes.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to support the delivery of high-quality learning and care.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as delegated by the Class Teacher or Senior Leadership Team, in line with your experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant within mainstream or specialist education settings is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the ability to address the emotional, social, and mental health needs of children.
  • Strong commitment to promoting a positive culture and aspirations for children.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to make judgements on student progress.
  • Professional regard for the ethos, policies, and practices of the school.
  • High standards of attendance and punctuality.
