Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, ensuring they achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural management strategies.
  • Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student wellbeing and academic progress.
  • Engage with pupils through one-to-one support and group activities, adapting to their individual needs and promoting positive behaviour.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in special educational needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role with transferable skills, specifically within SEN settings.
  • A strong desire to go above and beyond for children with special educational needs.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
  • Confidence in handling challenging behaviours and providing emotional support to students.
