The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will report to the Process Engineering Manager and collaborate on projects from concept to commissioning. You will work closely with the mechanical, process, production, commissioning, and procurement teams.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead/Undertake Electrical Engineering Design which includes production, design and modification of schematics, loop drawings, cable routing, panel layout drawings, block cable diagrams and motor starter panels.
  • Electrical functional design of control system.
  • Support production and oversee work of electrical installation engineers.
  • Drafting of scope of works, bill of materials, termination schedules, equipment data sheets, cables schedules, labelling schedules, proof testing documents and cable transfer documents.
  • Ensuring as-built electrical documents are complete for factory acceptance testing.
  • Commissioning Support.

Qualifications/Required skills:

  • Formal qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics Engineer or similar, ideally to Degree level or similar
  • Relevant experience (min 5 years) in Industrial Electrical Engineering
  • Possess knowledge of Electrical Engineering & Standards
  • Experience in designing electrical systems in accordance with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety Assessments and SIL verification
  • Experience in working in Hazardous Areas in compliance with ATEX and IECEx standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel,
  • Good verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work well within a multi discipline design environment,
  • Organisational and reporting skills,
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to produce accurate work to strict project deadlines,
  • Be able to manage time and priorities individually and work well as a team.

Desired Skills:

  • Working understanding of PLC programming and control logic
  • Be able to write and interrogate PLC code.
  • Compex qualifications
  • Instrumentation sourcing and selection
  • Knowledge of writing technical reports according to the validation procedures.

As soon as possible.

Salary:

Salary will be negotiated depending on qualifications, experience, and skills. Your covering letter should include your salary expectation.
