Position: Permanent Full Time

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Estimating Manager/ Contracts Manager to join our leading electrical contractor who cover both Commercial and Domestic projects across South Yorkshire.

Responsibilities for the Electrical Estimating Manager/ Contracts Manager:

  • Review project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Understanding contract requirements and the ability to establish and deliver to meet the employers requirements
  • Complete commissioning program, with technical queries resolved prior to developing, implementing and managing commissioning periods of project
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing trends and construction methods.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget.

Qualifications needed for the Electrical Estimating Manager/ Contracts Manager:

  • Level 3 City & Guilds in electrical installation as a minimum
  • 3 + years post qualified experience in electrical contracting.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of cost control techniques would be advantageous.
