We are seeking a skilled Solar Installer & Trainer to deliver high-quality training programs while staying actively involved in the industry.

As a Solar Installation & Trainer, you will be required to:

  • Installing of solar PV on domestic properties, ensuring a smooth installation process
  • Performing site-specific engineering analysis or assessments, detailing exact requirements.
  • Maintaining records of maintenance, installation, and operation procedures for each site
  • Diagnosing and fixing any issues related to solar system performance.
  • Evaluating client's property and determining the best installation plan
  • Providing detailed technical explanations to clients on how to use the systems effectively.
  • Conduct classroom and practical sessions on solar PV installation, maintenance, and servicing. Deliver refresher courses and CPD sessions.
  • Design and update training materials to reflect industry standards, regulations, and technological advances.
  • Ensure training aligns with UK regulations
  • Guide trainees in practical sessions, assist with troubleshooting, and stay updated on emerging technologies.
  • Work with internal teams, certification bodies, and industry partners to ensure training consistency and quality.

Candidate:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in solar installation, with demonstrable technical expertise in solar PV systems.
  • Prior experience in a training or teaching role is desirable but not a requirement.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to training and development with the ability to inspire and motivate trainees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements.

Qualifications:

  • 18th Edition Certificate
  • Inspection & Testing 2391 certified
  • BPEC - Preferred
  • Must hold a recognised assessor award (A1 Assessor or TAQA)
  • Must hold recognised teaching qualifications (Level 3 Award in Education and
  • Training or equivalent
  • Relevant technical qualifications are preferred (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent)
  • Additional certifications in renewable energy technologies will be an advantage.
  • A UK driver’s licence is required.
