Are you a skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for an exciting opportunity? Join the dynamic team as a Maintenance Electrician at the largest British-owned manufacturer in their field in the UK, located in Doncaster.
As a Maintenance Electrician you will be working with a prominent manufacturing company known for producing high-quality equipment. As one of the leading brands in their industry.
Role Responsibilities of the Maintenance Electrician.
Reactive Maintenance:
- Diagnose and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly.
- Examine, fault find, change fuses, and load parameters on drive boards.
- Fault find, replace parts, and load programs on PLCs.
- Work with relays, contactors, wiring systems, wiring drawings, heater bands, thermocouples, SSRs, pumps, blowers, etc.
- Troubleshoot and maintain various motors, including AC, DC, SERVO, and perform brush gear changes.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM):
- Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute PPM activities.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Contribute to the development of maintenance schedules to optimize production efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- NVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant electrical qualification.
- Preferably experienced in working with extrusion machines.
- Competent in examining, fault-finding, and performing maintenance on drive boards, PLCs, relays, contactors, wiring systems, motors, and related equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

The position of a Maintenance Electrician will be starting on days for 6 months initially then moving on to Days and Nights Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday).
