Albion Search are working with a highly regarded regional house builder to appoint an Architectural Technician to work within their Product & Design team, focusing on the coordination of theircore technical working drawings and associated details for tender purposes and construction.
The client are looking for candidates ideally from the house building/residential sector, with proven experience in an architectural technician role previously. It is also essential that candidates have a construction related degree or equivalent HNC/HND.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Managing the external supply chain for third party details such as heating, ventilation, trusses, joists, staircases to ensure effective delivery
- Working with consultants to an agreed programme for SAP calculations & Part O assessments
- Managing & maintaining business standard details
- Maintaining existing Revit models to agreed BIM standards
- Responding to site queries and resolving technical/construction issues
- Managing the NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval including type approvals where necessary
- Ensuring that working drawings are in accordance with the approved planning scheme
- Working with the Commercial Department to monitor and manage costs and budgets
- Ensuring the customer-facing materials are technically compliant
