Then look no further…Wastewater Treatment ManagerSalary - Circa £60,000 per annum (plus benefits)Hours - 40 hours per weekLocation Postcode - Nationwide, UKAs the Wastewater Treatment Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of staff operating treatment facilities for industrial wastewaters across the UK. You will have experience and knowledge of operating aerobic wastewater treatment processes and ideally in the specification, design and build of such facilities. You will have experience of negotiating with customers, regulators and suppliers and of managing contractors. Key aspects of the role are managing costs and ensuring compliance with operating permits and consents. This is a senior role and you will be expected to take an active part in consultations and discussions with regulators on best operating practice and regulatory changes as well as implementing those changes required to meet these requirements.This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).Our promise to you- 25 days’ annual leave (full-time working) plus Bank Holidays- Pension scheme- Life Insurance- Discretionary bonus scheme- On the job training/progression- Recognition- Flexible benefits including high street savings, cycle to work scheme and Gymflex membership- Access to an Employee Assistance Programme and the Best Doctors ServiceWhat will you be doing?- Manage the Leachate Treatment Division and associated staff in the UK- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Division in accordance with its relevant operating permits and licences and with legislation- Undertake the direct, day to day management of leachate treatment facilities- Monitor and advise on the Group’s leachate disposal plants and provide reports on their performance and compliance with all relevant legislation- Liaise with, and seek to influence, the regulatory authorities with regard to ongoing regulation of leachate treatment- Keep abreast of regulatory and technological developments and industry best practice in the design, build and management of leachate treatment facilities- Work with the site and regional business managers in developing a professional and effective working relationship with the planning authorities, Environment Agency, water companies and other regulatory bodies- Ensure that leachate treatment plants and disposal methods are developed according to the needs and nature of each landfill site or regional grouping of sitesWhat are we looking for?- Experience in the treatment and disposal of leachate or related discipline- Experience in a sector where compliance with regulatory controls is an important factor- A degree or equivalent qualification with a proven track record in a related disciplineAbout UsWe are FCC Environment, one of the nation’s leading waste and resource management companies.
