They are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to join their senior leadership team and drive the financial strategy forward. As the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing strategic insights, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the business. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in finance, who can lead a high-performing finance team and drive financial performance. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax, audit, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business development initiatives and optimise financial performance.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and investors.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the company's assets.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role ideally already with exposure to the retail and eCommerce sectors.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong technical accounting background.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective financial strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial software and data management systems.
