Axon Moore are supporting a high growth tech business in the South Yorkshire region to recruit a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join them as the business continues to expand.The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will be heavily involved in shaping the FP&A function, working closely with senior finance stakeholders to create a best in class function that will enable effective and improved financial planning throughout the business.This person will be required to help build financial models from scratch, and ensure that the financial models accurately help to predict and interpret high level financial data.The main responsibilities for this role will include:
  • Design and build financial models (many of which from scratch) to translate key financial data and help plan growth initiatives
  • Carry out high level analysis of key data, making recommendations to senior management
  • Business Partnering to a wide range of finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Perform and improve budgeting and forecasting initiatives
  • Over time help build out the FP&A function, hiring colleagues to support and grow the function
A high calibre individual will be required for this role, with significant long term progression and reward for the successful candidate. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experiences:
  • Qualified finance professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), either from a service sector industry, or trained within a Top 10 Accounting firm with strong analytical and modelling capabilities
  • Must be very strong on Excel and able to build financial models from scratch as well as manipulate and improve financial models
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, able to challenge, support and business partner with key stakeholders
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced environment, managing deadlines and be self-disciplined
Hybrid working will be the working pattern for this role, with some on site visibility being essential to enable effective working relationships to develop over time.
