We have a Local Authority seeking an experienced and knowledgeable SEND Transport Officer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and has the expertise to help us navigate the complexities of home to school transport operations.

As part of a specialised task force, you will be instrumental in implementing structural changes and transformation to our statutory home to school transport services. You will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the smooth operation of SEND transport services, making a tangible impact on the lives of children and families across Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on SEND home to school transport issues.
  • Assist in the implementation of operational improvements and service transformations.
  • Manage and coordinate transport arrangements for SEND children, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including parents, schools, and transport providers.
  • Analyse data and report on service performance, identifying areas for improvement.
