My client is looking for a Battery Engineer / Field Service Engineer to complete work on a range of customer's sites. They are ideally looking for an experiened Battery Engineer, who is confident, with excellent communication and customer service skills. This is a permanent full-time position.
Location: Doncaster - As this is a field service role, you can live upto 1 hour away from Doncaster
Hours: Monday to Friday dayshift - 40 hour week with no call outs / weekends
Salary: 28,000pa to 35,000pa DOE + overtime paid at x1.5

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and repair forklift batteries and charging equipment on customer sites
- Liaise closely with Key Accounts and carry out repairs and services as required
- Carry out battery topping, cleaning, and maintenance on customer premises
- Shift covers for sickness & holiday support
- Submit all job sheets and reports to head office on a weekly basis
- Safely prepare equipment for transportation
- Build up strong relationships with members of staff and customers
- Work closely with the service department to plan and schedule jobs and prioritise urgent callouts
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Knowledge of forklift batteries & chargers is desirable but not essential
- Background in Battery & Charger repairs & maintenance is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills within the company and externally with customers
- Must hold Full UK Driving Licence, as company van will be provided
- Ability to function as part of a team
- Diligent and conscientious attitude with the ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Well organised, confident and professional
