Cover Supervisor - KS3 to KS4

Salary: £94 – £115 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you looking to gain classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching? Do you have strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to lead a classroom? GSL Education South Yorkshire is seeking Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Doncaster.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Support students in completing their work and engage them in learning activities.
• Supervise students during breaks, transitions, and exams, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
• Work closely with teaching staff and senior leadership teams to uphold school policies.

• Experience working with secondary-aged students, either in a school, tutoring, or mentoring role.
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• A degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Confident in delivering instructions and maintaining discipline in a classroom setting.
• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
