****We Are Recruiting - Estimator Required****

Due to continued success and a strong pipeline of work for 2024 and ahead into 2025, our client who are based in Doncaster are actively recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join there close-knit team.

Our Client specialises in the hospitality, education, and commercial sectors on projects up to £8m in value on either a negotiated or competitively tendered basis and enjoy a high level of repeat business.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years main contractor experience in a similar environment, with a positive and pro-active attitude along with a desire to grow and develop within a privately owned and secure business.

Duties of an Estimator

  • Preparation of quotations via manual quantifications, markups and take-offs of drawings and pricing.
  • Review of all costs, final preparation and issue of quotation ready to send to our client.
  • Liaison with the Sales team providing consultation and guidance as to feasibility of each project
  • Manage supplier RFO process.
  • List all clarification and exclusion notes clearly and concisely to ensure clarity for both our internal colleagues and external customers.

It is essential or preferrable that you have the following experience, qualifications or skills;

  • Good Commercial awareness
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good numeracy skills and a highly competent user of Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyse, report and explain data accurately.
  • Collaborative approach with colleagues in estimating and other departments
  • Experience within the construction industry and conversant with standard operating procedures and methods
  • Working knowledge of contractual terms and conditions commonly applied by Main Contractors.
  • Ability to understand marked up drawings and BOQ’s
  • Ability to use and understand ERP and CRM systems.
