We are currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in the Doncaster area to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL). This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated MFL specialist looking to step into a leadership role or for an existing Head of MFL ready for a new challenge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role:
- Position: Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
- Location: Doncaster area
- Salary: Competitive and in line with experience
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the MFL department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across all languages offered.
- Develop and implement engaging schemes of work that align with the curriculum.
- Inspire students to achieve their potential in languages, fostering a love for learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions.
- Support and mentor colleagues within the department, promoting professional development and collaboration.
- Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to the wider school community and initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified and experienced MFL teacher with a strong track record of success in the classroom.
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a school setting (Head of Department experience preferred but not essential).
- A passion for languages and a commitment to raising standards in education.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire both students and staff and foster a positive learning environment.
