Role: Junior Estimator
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £32k - £36k DOE
Position: Permanent Full Time
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Junior Estimator to join our leading electrical contractor who cover both Commercial and Domestic projects across South Yorkshire.
Responsibilities for the Junior Estimator:
- Review project drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry pricing trends and construction methods.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget.
Qualifications needed for the Junior Estimator:
- Level 3 City & Guilds in electrical installation as a minimum
- 3 + years post qualified experience in electrical contracting.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of cost control techniques would be advantageous.
