Semi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

Location:Thorne, Doncaster

Monday to Friday 5.30am 2:30pm or 2:30pm 11:30pm.

Orion is partnered with a well-established business located in Thorne, which is recruiting for a semi skilled Maintenance Engineer. The focus of this Semi Skilled Maintenance Engineer is to maintain plant and production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the repairing, and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Perform basic mechanical, electrical, or fabrication tasks under supervision.
  • Follow safety procedures and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support skilled engineers in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and other engineering equipment as required.

Experience/Knowledge:

Were looking for semi-skilled maintenance engineers with the below:

  • Previous experience in an engineering, mechanical, or technical role.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an advantage.
