Recruitment Pro are pleased to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturer in North Lincolnshire who are a reputable company specialising in bespoke joinery and fit-out solutions. They cater to a range of sectors, including commercial, retail, residential, and heritage projects and are now on the look out for an experienced Spray Shop Supervisor.

As aSprayshop Supervisor, you will play a key role in maximising productivity in the sprayshop while maintaining the highest standards of quality, health, and safety. Working as part of the production management team, you will drive continuous improvement in all operations, processes, and procedures. Additionally, you will liaise with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Core Responsibilities

  • Order Management:Collaborate closely with the Factory Scheduler to review and manage orders efficiently.
  • Quality Control:Maintain exceptional quality standards across all tasks, rejecting subpar output when necessary.
  • Employee Training:Train both new and existing team members to enhance their skills and diversify their expertise within the sprayshop.
  • Workload Planning:Organize and plan the sprayshops workload weekly to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Efficiency Improvement:Continuously identify and implement methods to improve the department's efficiency.
  • Corrective/Preventive Action:Collaborate with other departments to minimise downtime and prevent waste.
  • Maintenance Oversight:Ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed correctly, on time, and that equipment remains clean, safe, and operational.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:Enforce health and safety practices throughout the sprayshop.
  • Stock Management:Maintain the spray shop and paint stores in accordance with permits, ensuring appropriate stock levels, using older stock first, and properly disposing of expired materials.
  • General Support:Perform other reasonable duties as needed to help the company achieve its business objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in a sprayshop or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to train and motivate a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. However, as a supervisor, you will be expected to arrive earlier and stay later as needed to ensure tasks are completed and thorough handovers are provided.

The pay rate ranges from £15.50 to £16.50 per hour, depending on experience. Any hours worked beyond the standard 39 hours per week will be compensated at time and a quarter. A typical workweek averages 45 hours.
