The Teacher of Engineering will equip students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education. They will work with a school with fantastic employer links and will support the development of employer led learning as well as the wider curriculum. This could be a great opportunity for somebody looking to move from industry into education if they can demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the classroom.Main Duties of the Teacher of Engineering:

  • Work with all ages and abilities, delivering engaging and innovative lessons
  • Effectively track data and contribute to intervention plans
  • Creation of exciting and engaging teaching and learning resources
  • Work with all students to maximise outcomes regardless of student ability
  • Keep up to date with relevant curricular and educational developments
  • Consistently reflect on teaching practices and maintain openness to learning new ideas and techniques

Role Requirements:

  • Excellent teaching skills and genuine interest in teaching and learning pedagogy
  • A degree in a relevant DT subject
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Good knowledge of special education needs, within a mainstream setting
  • Enthusiastic with the ability to motivate and inspire students
