Salary: £94 – £115 per day

GSL Education South Yorkshire are urgently seeking to hire an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a full time role available to start as soon as possible on behalf of our Secondary client school located in Doncaster. This is a fantastic opportunity for recent Graduates or aspiring Teaching Assistants looking to expand their range of expertise into a promising role within Secondary division.

The ideal candidate must abide by the following objectives:

To retain genuine interest to work in schools and support young people overcome any barriers to learning.
To provide tailored support to the class teacher in the delivery of a creative curriculum, outdoor curriculum, or play-based learning curriculum.
To provide social, emotional, and academic support on a 1:1 and small group basis, if required.
To work in partnership with other support staff, teachers, and outside agencies to ensure each child receives the best education and support.
To track progress and developmental markers.

Essential requirements for the job role:

Have sound knowledge or hands-on experience of supporting people with additional needs, learning difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health needs or speech, language, and communication needs; or be willing to work with such pupils.
Be a flexible, dynamic, and reliable practitioner.
Have strong regard for the student's well-being (both emotional and physical) and a positive approach towards working with children in order to inspire, engage and motivate them.
Have an understanding of how to build rapport and positive relationships with students.
Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one. DBS sponsorship is available on conditional basis.
