GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to our client based in Doncaster. The Teaching Assistant will help support KS1 children with SEND needs on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis. They will be based in a setting that supports students at risk of permanent exclusion, they offer a nurturing environment putting the needs of the child first.

Main Duties of the Teaching Assistant:
* Support students with SEND needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder and Pathological Demand Avoidance
* Work with teachers and SENCO to thoroughly implement learning plans that are individualised to the child
* Report on learner's progress, identifying any barriers in place
* Interact positively with parents and carers on a regular basis
* Help develop a nurturing environment always promoting the needs of the child


Role Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with complex additional needs, including Pathological Demand Avoidance
* Patience and empathy
* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to work as part of a team
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet students needs
