We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Strategic Support Engineer based within the Doncaster area to join one of our clientson a permanent full-time basis. Our client is a well-established, reputable and global automation company. This is a field-based role requiring travel across Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds and the M26 corridor. 

Responsibilities of theField Strategic Support Engineer

  • Look after and handle prestigious clients ensuring that their Service Level Agreements are managed effectively.
  • Perform and maintain customers' installed base evaluations and site surveys.
  • Promote repair program packages and expand upon existing services within customer agreements.
  • Obsolence reporting and migration management.
  • Provide refresher training on sites.
  • Assist with the renewal of contracts.
  • Manage own diary and workload. 
  • Maintain customer records.

Requirements for a Successful Field Strategic Support Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in the automation industry. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of Allen Bradley and ControlLogix equipment.
  • PLCs, inverters and programming experience are a must. 
  • Experience working to ISO9001 Quality Management standards. 
  • Ability to self-manage.
  • Report writing skills.
  • Full clean driving licence.
