Senior Application Support Analyst

Our client is recruiting for a Senior Applications Support Analyst based at their Doncaster offices 2-3 days per week. This person will work within the business applications team and across various project teams to develop and enhance applications and processes related to their ERP system, in relation to construction, commercial and finance functions.They will be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and establishing requirements, then delivering the design and build of small enhancements.

Experience of COINS ERP would be advantageous, but not necessary as full training on COINS will be provided. You will need to have 1+ year’s experience of supporting an alternative ERP system (Eg SAP, Aggresso, Unit4), particularly within the finance function.

Key AccountabilitiesSystems and User SupportThis includes providing 2nd and 3rd line support, liaising with application providers, and making regional visits (approx. twice per month) to floor walk and support workshops. You will also produce and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles, and ensure that updates are applied in a timely manner.

TrainingYou will work with the Systems Training Manager to ensure that training provision is available for each application, documentation and e-learning is maintained in line with changes and upgrades, and training is delivered when travelling to regional offices.

User Groups and EnhancementsThis person will attend and contribute to user communities, representing the business within external user communities. They will identify opportunities for improvement and action these using Agile/Scrum methodology.

Project Support & ImplementationsThis person will take ownership of allocated projects or change related systems configuration, working with 3rd parties to implement changes, take ownership of unit, user acceptance and regression testing, and provide go-live support.

GovernancePerforming system and user audit, license audit as required.

Essential skills

  • Minimum 1 year in Application Support, supporting an ERP system
  • Understanding of financial applications and terminology
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as a team member
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organised and efficient administration skills
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
  • Willing to travel approx. twice per month - Driving licence and own transport essential.

Desirable

  • Experience of COINS ERP and the construction industry
  • Integration with external systems using APls, web services, and middleware.
  • Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in Testing, Implementations, Upgrades, Migrations for COINs ERP or similar systems
