Senior IT Project Manager - £75,000 - 12-Month FTC - Hybrid (2/3 days a week in Doncaster)

Role Overview:We are excited to have partnered with a leading construction company based in the North-West. This position will be based at their office in Doncaster, with flexible hybrid working arrangements. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading major projects, managing and mentoring the project delivery team, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget.

This is a fixed-term contract for approximately 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of significant IT projects, working closely with senior stakeholders across the company.
  • Organise and facilitate major project steering boards, ensuring reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Oversee risk reporting and escalation processes, ensuring that projects stay on track.
  • Manage project budgets, working within the parameters set by the Head of Projects/IT Director.
  • Provide direct line management and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Support team members in their professional growth and development, empowering them to reach their full potential.
  • Take ownership of the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring expectations are met and project milestones are achieved.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Qualifications: IPM, PMI, or APM certification.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing large-scale systems and business change projects, with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan from L0 to L2 milestone delivery and facilitate delivery workshops/reviews.
  • A solid understanding of change management and the effects of change on multi-site locations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders.
  • A creative problem-solver who takes full ownership of projects and thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Proven leadership experience, including the ability to mentor and develop junior team members such as Project Managers and Change Analysts.
